Time to add cantaloupes to the list.
Woot woot!
Yesterday was a long and interesting day.
We began with a 4:30 feeding. Sounds early, but Bennett snoozed right on through, sleeping for a total of 13.5 hours.
*sigh*
Now I’ve got my baby back.
In spite of the fact that it was a Saturday, I headed into work to make up an appointment that I had canceled last week (so that I could be with the family). ‘Twas a good time and a fun color job.
When I arrived home, I discovered that Brian was proving his love for me by both caring for our boy AND cleaning the floors. Nothing says “I love you” like clean floors!
Benny Boo ate, snoozed, and then we headed to my sister-in-law’s baby shower (which is where I discovered Bennett’s appreciation for cantaloupe). When Bennett’s about a year old, he’s going to get a baby boy cousin (who unfortunately will live all the way in Minne’snow‘ta).
Back home, post shower, once again Benny Boo ate and snoozed. (I mean, the poor guy was exhausted from all the adoration and attention, being passed from one woman to the next.) While he snoozed, I put away a mountain of laundry. Once he awoke, we be-bopped around outside and breathed in the beautiful afternoon. Bennett enjoyed a larger dinner than usual and then I finished the dishes while Brian carried on with the rest of the bedtime routine.
As I click-clacked away at the laptop, Brian sat beside me enjoying a -007- movie. We both quietly sipped away on some tea (his, chamomile mango; mine, apple cinnamon spice). So nice to end a day with a hot, calming beverage and a warm, fuzzy feeling!
Days filled with peace and love. What could be better!
Sounds lovely. <3
