Lots of little bits to share, but no major plot line today:
A couple of nights ago, I must’ve slept like a cub in a tree, all contorted-like. Holy cow, the pain in my neck! Eventually that spread through my shoulders and upper back. Momma advised me to put three drops of lavender oil and three drops of peppermint oil in Brian’s palms, have him rub them together and then apply to my aching body. Sure enough, that seemed to cut down the pain fairly comfortably! While I still don’t feel 100%, it’s nice to be able to look to the left and to the right with my neck and not just my eyes!
Our salon has welcomed a new stylist this past week, Greg. Taking advantage of his availability and my lack thereof, I asked Greg to trim me up a bit yesterday morning. As he kindly razored through my hair (’cause it’s SO thick and bulky), he asked me what impressions people might’ve had of him so far and if they’ve said anything. To which I replied, “Well, I don’t know what other people are saying about you, and I don’t care; but I can tell you what I said about you this morning. …I told Brian that you’re nice and gentle and when you talk it sounds like you’re purring… And then I tried to show him what I meant… All low and rumbly.” I mean that in the nicest way.
We missed my sister-in-law’s sister’s wedding yesterday for fear of driving through a snow storm with Bennett. Big fat bummer. It’s just not the same sending a card. While we would’ve only been to be able to attend the ceremony anyway, it still would have been a treat to see our family. (Hurry up, Christmas!)
On Friday, after only working for a couple of hours, Brian sent me this text and the following picture:
Bennett got this while we cleaning the kitchen. He was pretty shook up thank The Lord he did not get hurt. He had 2 little cuts on his hand that I had to clean up. I fed him a tube bottle and rocked him for a long time running my fingers through his hair.
Bennett is slowly, but surely, inheriting the nickname “Bennett-the-Destroyer.” A slight departure from Benny Boo, yes, but affectionate all the same. The babe is okay and only got poked and nicked a bit on one palm and finger. He must’ve just had a growth spurt to have been able to reach high enough to bring down the contents of the corner cabinet!
Obviously I couldn’t care less about the junk that shattered and am just thankful that Bennett’s okay! Burn the house down for all I care, just save the family and the pup!
Things like that never seemed to happen on Daddy’s watch at our house.
Glad to hear that he’s okay … hopefully this will make him a bit more cautious in his discoveries. 🙂
Can’t wait to see you guys!!!!
So glad all are well. Just looking at a book case the other day and wondering if Cleo’s nose would have the strength to unbalance. Results are sad looking but understandably of no consequence comparattively
Brian is so sweet. There’s so much more to him than meets the eye. I’m glad Benny was okay. Bennysaurus-Rex? LOL. Oi. He is definitely going to keep you on your toes.
