After working all day, I fueled up and began Baby Registering Round 2.
Today’s destination: Babies-R-Us.
Today’s agenda: almost the rest of everything.
Time it took to complete today’s mission: 3+ hours.
I have to say, when I turned in my scanner to the Babies-R-Us people, I was secretly amused by the conversation I had with the man helping me wrap things up.
Babies-R-Us Man: …So… are you updating your registry?
Me: Nope. This is my first time.
Babies-R-Us Man: Wow! You got a lot done for your first time.
Me: Well, I’ve been here for three hours.
Babies-R-Us Man: Still… People who spend five hours here don’t get as much done as you did!
Me, with my square piece secretly beaming inside: Well, I did my homework this week. I had a list.
Little does Babies-R-Us Man know that I’m not actually done.
Nope. I’ve still got some online adding, tweaking and deleting to do. But my goal is to wrap this up by the end of my weekend. (My weekend ends on Monday night, FYI.)
The other moment of secret beaming was when one associate in particular asked if I needed help with anything. In about 45 minutes he had probably noticed me only making five aisles of progress. When I assured him that I was fine, he asked how old my child was. “I don’t have any yet,” I explained. Then I patted my belly, “I’m twenty weeks pregnant.”
I must say, his startled expression (complete with raised eyebrows and a jolt) was not unappreciated. Granted, I was wearing a loose-ish shirt. But still, I guess I’m not doing that bad…
WhoooHoooo!!!
I could barely tell you’re preggo. You’re not going to get very big at all. Nope.
Some of my happiest moments, and it appears the same for you, are those when I can organize my thoughts and consequently a part of my life!
Isn’t it wonderful!
Yes! Love, love organized thoughts. Now if only my house were so organized…
One day I hope to be a Square Piece. I’m organized but nothing like you. 🙂
