Mommy wants to teach me how to be thankful for what I have. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
- I’m thankful for soft, fuzzy textures.
- And I’m thankful for when people sling me over their shoulders.
- I’m thankful for shapes and contrast.
- And I’m thankful for warmth.
- I’m thankful for my gnaw-able fists.
- And I’m thankful for breast milk. Obviously.
- I’m thankful for the way that Mommy hums in my ear to calm me down.
- And I’m thankful for the way that Daddy plays with my arms and legs while making karate noises.
- I’m thankful that I’m never alone.
- And I’m thankful that sometimes my parents put me down. They’re so clingy!
- I’m thankful that so many people have called me beautiful and precious and handsome…
- And I’m thankful that I am indeed all of those things. 😉
- I’m thankful for the way Mommy and Daddy make sure I’m really warm at night.
- And I’m thankful for the way the light pours into my windows in the nursery.
- I’m thankful for when Mommy wears her hair down and I can grab it.
- And I’m thankful for the Food Network Channel. I can’t take my eyes off of it!
(Okay, I’ll admit that I don’t really know if Bennett is definitely thankful for all of these things, but I’d like to believe that he is.)
That is so very sweet.
That made me smile, and feel all peaceful…like a day off, or a nap in the sunshine.
Sweet.
🙂
HE IS SOOO CUTE! He is indeed thankful for the telly. ha ha 🙂
you can never encourage thankfulness at too young an age 🙂
don’t forget that he’s thankful for all of the loving people in his life!
he is thankful to be basking in so much love! what a lucky little guy!
Now that is a good list!
Bennett’s face in that picture is beautiful, he looks so big now. He has the “beautiful eyes” just like Mama :o)
He’s especially thankful he can look into your face and see the love shine down upon him.
“I’m thankful for when Mommy wears her hair down and I can grab it.” YES!
You’re training him to be thankful at an early age… Love it!
