Christmas Party.

It seemed as though this year I’d be missing out on Christmas parties being that I’m on maternity leave.  It’s not that we weren’t invited to the salon Christmas party (a dinner cruise!); we were.  I just wasn’t ready to do that with Bennett a couple weeks ago.  Last night on the other hand, walking next door to our neighbor’s house for the church staff Christmas party?  Totally doable.

I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE a white elephant exchange.  We were given specific instructions to (1) find some gag gift laying around the house and (2) make some personal coupon to be redeemed by the recipient.  Naturally I was thrilled to have an opportunity to purge some junk from my house (nice junk though).  And since Betty freed up some time for me, I was able to get crafty with the coupons.

Yes, it’s worth zooming in to read the fine print.

Our friend, neighbor and pastor, Mike, actually recreated a drink that was made by Charles Dickens himself!  Look at the fancy flames!

PS: The pics are finally up from Sherri’s wedding!  You MUST check them out!  (I was SO pregnant!)  http://chennergy.com/sherri-jordan-milton-ridge-md/comment-page-1/#
