It’s nice to finally see a break from this rain. On and on and on it’s poured for days! Though I have to admit, I forgot how much fun it is to stand in a puddle in my rain boots and have my toes stay 100% dry.
So Tuesdays are my Mondays. Back to the salon I go! This weekend consisted of seeing the in-laws, helping out in the church nursery, making some kind of casserole that Brian happily compared to Chipotle, falling asleep to the Cowboys beating the Redskins, decluttering/housecleaning, saving about $85 on a long and thought-out grocery trip, and reminding my basset hound, Esther, that she’s still loved and important. (All that rain derailed our walking schedule!)
The highlights: Family time is always a highlight. I love sharing my boy with those who love him, especially now that he’s walking with such strength and intention! Brian helped his granddaddy set up a new Christmas tree for Memaw who was wondering how it would look outside of the box. In my and Bennett’s opinion, it was beautiful! And what a treat for my Christmas-lovin’ heart to get to enjoy that sight smack dab in the middle of October!
Then there was Sunday evening when Brian was trying to beat me in Scramble on his phone. I slightly tapped his leg so that I could get by and the hubs went on a tirade about me cheating and distracting him. Seriously, the tirade was likely the greater distraction, so I attempted to convince him to give up by tickling him to death, quite against his will. I might or might not have ended up in a headlock.
How was your Columbus Day?
love the picture!
got into an accident Saturday (entirely my fault) so I am now without wheels, but thankful that no one was hurt, that the air bags did NOT deploy (so I was able to drive home), that I’m well insured, and that i have a bus pass to get me around
OY!!! I’m glad you’re okay!!!! and for the things you have to be thankful 🙂
Goodness! I’m thankful that it wasn’t much worse!
LOL @ the headlock 🙂 Get ‘er, Brian! 😉
Loved having everyone here. Bennett is a beautiful child!!! Glad to see such loving & caring parents.
