Dear Nine Month Old Bennett,
Buddy, you sure had me worried yesterday! Goodness! When that fever spiked, I felt so helpless! Rest assured though, I did not ACT helpless. No, you had a cool rag with ice on your neck, a soaked & chilled hat on your head, you were heavily nursed, cooled in the tub and given the amount of Tylenol that’s appropriate for your little body. Most importantly, we did not forget to pray.
And you, my darling, are so daggone sweet that even in your feverish state, you were still all giggles with a little game of peek-a-boo. Bless your heart.
But you know what else I saw yesterday? I saw you really, really, REALLY stand balanced with no support for a few seconds… twice! I see you testing the waters, dear. You’re gonna love walking, then running, some day soon. (Sorry that I couldn’t snap a less blurry picture, but time was of the essence!)
Here are some changes you’ve made this month:
- Those little legs have gotten longer. I’ve had to adjust the heights of your bouncers and saucers.
- You’re beginning to understand the brilliance of books, making an effort to turn a page… and then eat that page.
- Teefers. Two little teefers.
- Your intake of solids has increased with your lovely mobility. Look at you working up an appetite!
Thank you for being you. This is a blast!
All the love and XOXO’s in the world,
Mommy**
So glad you were able to help him feel better and recoop from that fever. Prayers for a complete recovery and restful day.
Thanks, Momma. Xoxo.
Hope fever has abated, not to return!
You and me both.
I’m so glad that he is feeling better. Poor lil’ guy. You are such a good mama. I love your all natural approach to raising him. He is so gonna thank you one day.
