Oh my. This is getting harder! There were a several comments this week deserving of a second glance (Love the team name, the Hashtags, Tamra!), but today we’re looking at Sarah’s reply to Heart on Fire:
“Absolutely! And he will remember nothing from this transition stage. I totally know how horrible it is; but with Ross, I waited until he was 6 months old to do it and it was MUCH worse. Very smart to do it now.”
Dear Sarah,
Thank the LORD for the inability to remember one’s infancy. Bennett has gotten quite good at going to sleep with very little fuss on both of our parts. And every now and then when a mighty toot wakes him up in the middle of the night, he settles himself in no time. The transition hasn’t been seamless and we’ve taken some steps back to then regroup and take more steps forward. The one benefit that I am sure of for getting this over with now is that Bennett doesn’t know how to cry “Mommy” yet. Oh my gosh. I think if we added that to the mix of learning to self-soothe, I’d just want to get it over with and go bury myself in the backyard.
Thanks for your prayers and encouragement!
Holy XOXO’s,
Suzy**
As for the Spam of the week, we’re looking at Madryt’s reply to The orange, plastic bear:
“Great amazing things here. I am very happy to peer your post. Thanks a lot and i’m taking a look forward to touch you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?”
Dear Madryt,
You’re looking forward to touching me?! Ummmmmm… We might wanna run that by Brian… and me… and my Momma… and sisters, brothers, friends, coworkers, readers, neighbors, acquaintances, cats, dogs, Starbucks baristas, Target cashiers and the entire Sprint customer service team.
…
Nope. No, we all agree that you’re not allowed to touch me.
Holy XOXO’s (symbolic, not actual),
Suzy**
PS to my readers: If we’re not friends on Facebook yet, you might be missing adorable postings such as Brian (wearing his non-terrorist shirt) having a bedtime read with Bennett!
I love this pic! Brian is very lucky to be as flexible as he is, Bennett sure looks cozy and interested! What a team!
I love reading your blogs, get great amusment from them and would love to be your FB friend.
Love that picture of your guys hanging out. 🙂
A keeper for sure!
THE MIGHTY TOOT! I’ve had a couple of those myself. Woken out of a dead sleep. ha ha. AND NO! That person, whose name I can’t pronounce, is NOT allowed to touch you. Weird.
Very glad to hear that Bennett is doing so well with sleeping! It’s an ever changing process. As well as she has done all along, at 13 months, Darcy has decided to challenge the routine once again. You’re a great Mommy and will figure it out as it comes….even when he CAN call Mommy.
