Dear Karen, Sherri and Jenn,
You ladies blessed me more than you know yesterday. From the “hats & gloves” theme (I love an occasion to wear my vintage clothes!) to the time of prayer for our family, it was such a special day.
Karen, thank you for making me an adorable cake! (And thanks for including some lemon!) If it weren’t for you, I never would have gotten my head wrapped around the world of baby gear and necessities. Thank you for taking me out and explaining the ins and outs of strollers so that I could make an informed registry decision. Since you and Sherri pulled together donations for a group gift, I’ve now got this awesome ride for Bennett! (And thanks, Mike, for assembling the stroller. Brian HATES assembling stuff.) I’m sure there’s a TON of other things you did (getting your mom to mail vintage gloves from Colorado, for instance) and I’m not going to be able to remember each one as I type this. But evidence of our friendship was in a lot of special touches throughout the afternoon and I appreciate your doing that.
Sherri, you really invested a lot of time in me! I know you don’t have a lot of extra hours to spare these days as you’re planning your own wedding, so that’s awfully kind of you. From the teeny, delicious tarts that you assembled from scratch (because what’s a tea party without itty, bitty food?) to helping manage the emails, invites and general correspondence regarding our festivities, thank you for tapping into your excellent party-planning talents to pull together an event that so many women thoroughly enjoyed! I loved that you pointed out my balloon that says, “A New Little Prince.” Only a friend would know which way my mind would process that statement.
Jenn, you’re such a sweet and attentive hostess! Your house is perfect for entertaining and I appreciate that you’ve opened it up to care for me, Brian and Bennett. For every second that you spend passing your blessings on to others, I pray that the Lord multiplies His goodness and favor in your life. The little cookies that you had made for the party are just a slice of evidence that displays your selflessness. Thank you for helping Karen and Sherri pull off such a beautiful afternoon! I have such a good time when I’m surrounded by women who are themselves having a ball! Just look at these sweet faces!
You three and every single woman who played along yesterday, whether present or absent, have joyfully carried my worries and turned them into reasons to celebrate.
Thank you.
Holy XOXO’s,
Suzy**
Oh my! what a wonderful event for you and baby Bennett! you are seriously spoiled, and I LOVE THAT!
S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y.
It looks like such a wonderful party!! I’m so sorry I missed it.
Don’t be sorry! You NEED to be on vacation!
It was a true blessing for us to have the first party in our new home be in honor of your growing family. We truly love you, and cannot contain our excitement to meet Bennett. š
Karen and Sherri are unbelievable of hostesses; Brian and Mike’s efforts to bring over the tables and chairs cannot be overlooked; Each of the tea hostesses out did themselves with the beautiful tablescapes; and of course, Brian bearing the deluge with the pups made it all the more elegant.
–We missed you Bree, but hope that you are having an awesome vacation!
Indeed, so many more people participated in helping this to all come together. I’m incredibly humbled that they thought my shower was worth their time and effort. Blessed beyond measure.
This was my first tea! It was all worth it!
What fun š
That was SUCH a nice shower! I had a wonderful time, and everything was so lovely! Jenn definitely had the perfect house for such an event!
You are loved! š That’s really awesome.
