Boy, it’s hard to write a blog post when Brian has The Departed on the tele. All that suspense, that irish punk rock, that Mark Wahlberg…
Focus, Square Piece, focus!
So here are a few random thoughts floating around my head:
The other day with the Miley Cyrus post? Yeah, it felt good to compose something somewhat relevant to our present culture. Quirky as I may be, sometimes (okay, most of the time) I can be the most irrelevant thinker, off in another galaxy… far, far away. I appreciated everyone’s feedback that day and also for those of you who’ve taken the time to “like” or “share” posts. Ya never know who needs to be reached!
Similarly, thanks to everyone who’s been reading Mondays with Momma. She and I touch base regularly on her ideas and your feedback. Please blow up my inbox (suzy@iwantasquarepiece.com) with absolutely any questions that might be swirling around your noggin’. Again, they can be silly, serious or somewhere in the middle. You are more than welcome to ask questions anonymously, too.
Sooooo… switching gears… I made my 2nd attempt at mayo a couple of weeks ago. While this one was better than the original batch, I think I need to stop using sunflower oil. While it is an oil that is most beneficial unheated, I just don’t think that I like the flavor and next time I’m going to stick with olive and coconut oils. I know. Alert the press.
How’s your Wednesday?
I’m curious to see how coconut oil works, since it solidifies so much better than the other oils. I wonder if it has to be kept at room temp? or, if kept in the fridge, stirred before using?
🙂
I might enter into the mayo making attempt, but will wait till you have it down 🙂 lol
My Wednesday has been so productive! Dropped off Julie’s orchids at a local orchid shop to be repotted and ended up buying a beautiful little Lady’s Slipper. Returned some chair cushions that didn’t work to BB&B. Stopped by Potomac Vegetable Farms stand and bought some of the season’s last peaches. And finally, picked up a yummy juice from Robeks before heading back into work. Hodge Podge myself!
Went to heart specialist who found my echocardiogram scintillating. Happy.
That movie has more swearing in it than almost any other movie I have seen. That includes Boondock Saints. Much cursing in that one, too. You know, here’s my random thought…. Do I need that comma before the “too”. Hmmm I wonder. Anyways, my new thing is home popped popcorn. Old school. Tasty.
