It Will All Happen the Way It Should.

As much as I’m going through an exciting and wonderful new beginning, it hasn’t escaped my scope that many of you are not exactly in a seemingly ideal season of life.  While I want to bask in the joy of hope and new life, I don’t want to find myself disconnected from the sometimes grim reality of my friends and loved ones.

To put it another way, I want to be a better, more sympathetic friend; and yet I know that no one wants to burden me with their negative business because they love me and are happy for my pregnant self.

It’s a weird, in-between place to be in, wanting to be obliviously high on life, yet wanting to be accessible and caring.

So there’s this song that my bud, Dan Smith, has yet to record, It Will All Happen the Way It Should.  Even if you know there’s a reason for everything, sometimes it helps to have that confirmed one. more. time.

So if any of you, by beloved readers, need some encouragement today, listen to Dan’s song.  While this entire clip is from a radio interview, right off the bat it starts with the song about which I’m referring.  Don’t feel obligated to keep listening beyond the first song if you’re pressed for time.

It Will All Happen the Way It Should

If you find yourself all alone or in prison

Whether behind bars or in your mind, there is a plan

There’s a plan, there’s a way out

It’s all happening the way it should

If you’re behind bars or in your mind

There is a plan

If you feel yourself tied down or in danger

If it’s on the tracks or in your heart, all that will pass

All that will pass, there’s a way out

It’s all happening the way it should

If you’re tied down inside your heart, all that will pass

If you’ve pushed yourself to the edge and feel like jumping

It’s ten flights up or even more than that, just hold on

Just hold on, there’s a way out

All that will pass, there is a plan

If you’re on the edge and feel like jumping, just hold on

If you’ve taken yourself under water and you aren’t breathing

You’re drowning and you’re alive, there’s something more

Just hold on, there’s more to that

It’s all happening the way it should

If you are drowning and you’re alive, there’s something more

*loud musical bridge*

*gentle musical ending*

I have not seen you in a while, but I have always found you accessible, caring, and willing to lend a listening ear. For that I am very thankful!
