Square Piece got a little wild this weekend. And by “wild,” you know that I mean just the opposite, right?

So what pried me away from Bennett and Brian on Saturday?

- A class on cheese making
If you guessed the cheese one, you know me all too well!
So, yes, on Saturday, my friend, Bree, and I ventured into the terrifying traffic patterns of D.C. to redeem our Living Social vouchers. Within minutes, we were carefully concocting our very first batch of ricotta cheese. (It didn’t hurt that we got to taste our cheese with crustini, fig preserves and prosciutto!)
Immediately following my ricotta triumph, mozzarella kicked my butt! This is definitely a more involved cheese! Even though I don’t feel like my end result came out to be the typical mozzarella consistency, it still tasted wonderful with some spinach, vinaigrette and tomatoes.
Man, I love to learn!
