I need to get this out before I pass out from exhaustion.
Last night Brian and I had the pleasure of hosting seven men at our house. They drove up after playing a show in Richmond. While I’m not one to name drop, let’s just say that it was a pleasure to host one of my brother’s favorite bands. (This is one of the perks of being a host home for RYFO.)
Timeline:
Tuesday, 6:00AM – Woke up and began making World Peace Salad, finishing laundry, making beds, getting ready for work, letting the dogs in and out and in and out and in and out…
10:45AM – Arrived at work a touch later than usual thanks to a cancelation.
6:00PM – Finished work and went straight to a friend’s house for Girls’ Night.
6:30 – 10:00PM – Laughed my butt off with this gaggle of girls. Also enjoyed some major spiritual encouragement, prayer, testimony, etc. Oh, and the food! It just doesn’t get better than Girls’ Night.
11:30PM – Finished blogging, cleaning and making slow cooked hard apple cider.
Wednesday, 2:45AM – Welcomed seven men into my home while my twinkling Christmas tree set a mood of warmth (or gave them reason to be very, very concerned).
4:00AM – Tried very hard to fall back to sleep. Was distracted by whether or not there were grammatical errors in yesterday’s post and reread Square Piece for a while. (Is it wrong that rereading my own blog still makes me laugh out loud?)
7:40AM – Woke back up, got ready for work and began making breakfast for the boys.
9:00-11:15AM – Made individual smoothies to accompany breakfast as each member of the band slowly trickled into the kitchen. Gave them the “gift of humor” by gracing them with “The Mint Incident.”
11:30AM – Finished putting lunch on the table while they were still eating breakfast. (Italian. Can’t help it.)
11:45AM – 8:00PM – Hair, hair, hair… Lots of laughter. Accidentally scraped my burn against a corner of my work station. Hurt like heck. Thought about all my peeps who were lifting me up in prayer. Must’ve had supernatural energy today; cause mine was all spent.
8:34PM – Came home to the hounds having torn up the trash. Am presently processing a conversation that I just had with my mom. My stepdad, Charley, has been so sick with fever today. There’s been a lot of vomit and a lot of hallucinations. Please pray for my fam.
8:36PM – Eyes are about to shut. Extremely tempted to stay up and make a Christmas wreath.
Holy XOXO’s,
Suzy**
I will pray for your family.
Aww the pups! Naughty! Oh and I can totally hear you laughing at your own blogs. 😛
