Boy, this exciting new world of walking has led to other surprising abilities. Yesterday morning, I strategically set out a new toy for which I finally believed Bennett to be old enough, a scootin’-rider-thingamajig. Here and there, I pushed him around the living room and kitchen, showing him the capabilities of this new contraption.
Well, by evening, Bennett knew how to straddle the plastic rider, propelling himself forward and backward with his foot-swinging momentum.
Okay. Maybe that’s not sOoOoOoOoOooo impressive to you.
But would you be impressed if I told you that my child dismounted the thing like a grown man dismounting a Harley? With one sturdy foot planted on the floor while the other leg swung over the side?!
Guys, that’s all I need right now. I’m a simple woman with simple delights.
i loved when sophia started walking, its so FRIGGIN cute seeing a lil tiny human strutting around like they own the world.
.. but she does revert back to crawling when she is trying to be sneaky.. 😉
awesome! I can’t wait to see that 🙂
Maybe dismounting has a genetic basis
Only my first line printed above. I wrote several:
I believe Bennett was a keen observer and had an active curiosity from Day #1. I think he has a store of tricks ready to play out and be observed. Lucky for you to be nearby to experience with him and likewise lucky for him to have such loving parents for support.
LIKE A BOSS!Way to go, Squish! Ps, I’ve thought about my next truck and often wondered if I should get that phrase across the windshield. lol
