Locks of Love (Before/After of our friend, Erika).

If you’ll think back to recall my guest blogger from March, Erika, you’ll remember what a gem she is.

Yesterday we had an especially wonderful time cutting her hair for Locks of Love… for the second time!

Four years ago, we snapped this shot:

(…which makes me wonder why I’m growing my hair out…  Man, I loved that style!)

Erika’s hair is healthy because she gets it trimmed periodically; additionally, that’s her natural color.  In no way have I enhanced that blonde with my own giftedness.

Here’s her before:

Here we have what it looks like when I shape a donation with a future haircut in mind:

Here’s one of the looks we used for inspiration:

Being that she’s a good friend and brilliantly scheduled to be my last client of the day, I really put on the brakes and slowed the process down, obsessing over every strand while listening to Erika tell me about the news in her life.

Upon finishing, I spun her around to take in the new Erika.  If there’s one thing that she’s good at, it’s expressing joy both verbally and through body language.  It’s such a treat as a stylist to see a friend wiggle and dance in her chair!

Here’s the after:

Have a locks of lovely day!

You both look beautiful, but she looks even prettier with shorter hair. Her eyes ‘pop’, as they say!

    Pregnancy has enchanced your beauty!
