Just as soon as I’m done writing this post, I hope to have a glass of wine in my hand. While I certainly make typos here and there on a regular basis, I assure you that there’d be plenty more mistakes if ol’ Yellow Tail Big Bold Red was helping me along tonight.
(Thanks, Ben, for showing us this inexpensive, yummy wine!)
I don’t know about you guys, but wine makes me sleeeeeeeeeeeeepy… Zzzzz…
Given the mentally challenging day that I had, I’m practically sleep walking as it is! ‘Twas definitely a good’un though. Challenging isn’t always a bad thing.
One client came in whom I hadn’t seen in over a year! She cut off a foot of hair and totally transformed her color, motivated by a long bob she saw on Ashley Olsen (I think that’s the right twin anyhow!). Another client did the same, cutting about six inches of hair and wound up looking like the twin of Ginnifer Goodwin who plays in Once Upon a Time.
Ya know, on some days, everyone’s in the mood to maintain and on others, we’re talking a 180 degree turnabout!
Pre-Bennett, I could come home from a day of intense contemplation, concentration and formulating, collapse on my couch and enjoy the attentive care of my husband helping me take off my shoes.
But last night? Well, first I had to comfort the babe. (Good heavens, I couldn’t tell where his tears stopped and his snot started!) Then we played with puzzles. As I pretended to drive a fire truck puzzle piece up and down my leg, Bennett took the truck away from me so that HE could drive it up and down my leg. Adorable! Then there was baby feeding, mayo-making, squash-seed-roasting, more baby feeding, etc.
*sigh*
I love my life. I really do. Even the snotty stuff. I’m so thankful. Just the littlest moments are dripping in love, lessons and absolute wonder.
Hey, don’t forget that today is the last day to enter our Three Lil Monkeys contest. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or would like to gift the credit to someone else, this couldn’t be easier!
The challenges of motherhood at times are overwhelming, but always full of blessings!
So glad that he (Bennett) has YOU to comfort him.
I’m looking forward to the wine in heaven. Yum! Yeah, you’re a busy lady these days but when I look at you and your lil’ family, well, I just think it’s perfect. Simply perfect.
