My brain feels like mush.
After a delightful evening having dinner with some friends last night, I could not have been happier with Bennett’s calm and quiet disposition. He slept almost the entire time except for the two times when he needed to be fed. I was so proud.
I should have known there was a catch…
That boy got his day and his night alllllllll mixed up. He was up for HOURS last night. My eyeballs wanted to shut so badly they felt sunburned. No, I don’t think that’s possible, but I don’t know how else to describe that stinging.
C’est la vie, n’est-ce pas?
In other news, several people have asked me how Esther is adjusting to Bennett. She’s fabulous. This afternoon when Bennett began crying from the nursery, Esther actually beat me to him, very concerned and motherly. So daggone precious. Gotta love that hound.
I so feel for you. Robert has never really slept at night.
Oh my, that is truly miserable. Ross was like that for months. It almost did me in. I finally stopped trying to make nights at night and watched A LOT of movies. It helped the time pass a lot faster. Ross is 4 now and sleeps great! š
(btw, I did sunburn my eyeballs one time.)
My eyes use to water from trying to keep them open.
I pray you both find a restful routine, regardless of the time of day or night.
Oooh… Now I understand the context of your comment about him being so awake this afternoon! š hope he gets back on the day awake, night for sleep thing š
hate that for you…I think every mom goes thru that with at least one kid! This too shall pass…the mushy brain bit, not so much! I am pretty sure I used to be a lot more mentally with it (I just can’t remember…)
OMG! Way to go Esther! Being a dog lover I had to make a comment on Esther and that adorable pix of your 2 babies š
Awww Esther. Chin treatments work on Bennett too. š
Great photograph. Both of them so adorable. At least Esther is doing her job even if cats are not. Guarding the household and on notice.
