The Nordstrom Visa has been in my wallet for years and years, at least seven if not eight.
This year is the first time that I finally took advantage of one of the perks I had long forgotten: tailoring.
Apparently I’m entitled to $100 worth of alterations every calendar year. After one dress only added up to $54 on Thursday (it cost twice as much since it was from Anthropologie and not Nordstrom), I rummaged through my closet for a loose skirt and headed back to the tailor yesterday. This skirt was from The Loft and had been purchased post-pregnancy, but pre-weightloss.
Explaining to the tailor that I still had $46 to spend, that’s exactly what he charged me (even though it should have cost $72!). What a kind man. I am ever so grateful to him for this discount and also for ability to USE apparel that I ALREADY own! Two thumbs up for not having more, but using what I have.
Now… I just wish that I could backtrack and redeem about $600 worth of credit that I’ve wasted! Then again, the new year is right around the corner!
What a great perk! especially if you really like an outfit that you already own. 🙂
Oh, how nice. I don’t think I’ve had anything tailored but my wedding dress. LOL.
