Photo cheer.

*sigh*

It’s been one of those days.  No, wait.  It’s been two of those days.

Now, I’m not going to bore you with the details of what’s behind my deep, exhausted exhale.  Square Piece ain’t here to bum you out.  (You can just turn the news on for that anyway.)  Instead, I’ve found a little cheer in looking at some old photos.

Every basset hound needs a good ear massage.

It looks as though Joey and I have inherited the exact same smirk.  I hadn’t realized that before now.

And this is why we all agree that I’m the voted-in “oldest” sister.  Manny’s just a kid.  🙂  And Pa has no idea what’s going on.

This was our Thanksgiving dinner last year.  As you can see, we were eating our meal of thanks on my Christmas plates!

I noticed this house years ago.  On countless occasions, while driving west on Route 7, I’ve whipped out my phone hoping to capture a decent shot of this picture perfect home (yes, this resulted in wild swerving).  I love that there’s a garage on either side and that it looks like little apartments could be above each of them.  This house makes me dream of all the possible ways we’d be hospitable if we lived there…

It’s times like these that I try not to notice how thick the ONE tomato slice is in the center of the bread and just thank Brian for making me an egg sandwich at all.

Bare-faced Square Piece.

Somewhere between Illinois and Virginia last year, I snapped this shot on my drive back from Cornerstone Music Festival.  Though green eyes don’t get much recognition these days, I’m thankful for them.  And I’m proud to say that this picture is 100% unedited!

Have a great weekend!

As always, I enjoyed your post today. I love the final pretty photo of your gorgeous, green eyes. Mine occasionally do that if I wear the right shade of green, but never with such intensity as yours. Do you remember where you got that hat? I am looking for a knitting pattern for one like that. My plan is to knit it before entering the hospital for a stem cell transplant this fall. Please keep writing. You make me smile and also think deeply about many things.

I love all of your moms comments all the time! She is such a sweet lady.

I hope everything is ok. I love looking down memory lane and being able to
    Remember sweet moments!

  4. I love that house too! I LOVE the porch–I’d just sit out there all day and not get anything done, LOL. I’ve always wanted a house with a big front porch . . . sigh . . . : )
