Heaven just inherited an incredibly entitled, demanding and stubborn cat.
My poor cubby.
I haven’t experienced the loss of a fur baby since I was about 13 and had to bury my sweet guinea pig.
A shelter kitty, he lived to be 17 years old, which means we have been as thick as thieves for over half of my life! Actually, we kinda adored each other.
Usually I’m a very descriptive Square Piece. Not so today. The final hours of a cat’s life are not pretty. Fortunately, Samson was able to pass in the manner that I had always hoped would be, at home, unbothered and in what seemed like a very calm and peaceful state. Please pray for my heart.
Yeah, he’s smiling. 🙂
We introduced Sam here. You’ll love the pics.
There’s a reason I called him Sir Sam-a-lot. *wink*
Such a good kitty. He will definitely be missed. Now he chases butterflies in heaven, with Spunky, Bizco, Shadow and all the other wonderful cats who have graced our lives.
When cats eat grass in heaven, I wonder – since it’s heaven, if they don’t throw up. And I wonder what the water tastes like.
I’m so sorry Suzy. It sure is sweet to picture him in Heaven. Happy and playing. I am praying for you. Xo
I am so sorry for your loss.
I have a lot of good memories of Sammy over the years he was with us. One that sticks out with me was when we brought home the Labrador. Sammy is a large cat, but in one bound, he jumped to the very top of the bookcase. He will be sorely missed.
my condolences–i have to have Mordecai put to sleep in September (and he was 17 as well) and even though it wasn’t the first time, it’s never easy.
it’s good that we have memories so we can always savor all of the affection and attitude that our furbabies give us for years to come
So sorry for your loss. Pets are part of our families.
Hugs and prayers.
Such a sad loss….we’re very sorry. Hope your heart heals soon.
