Having heard and read about the benefits of sprouted grains, I was surprised when I actually stumbled upon this version of rice at the GrandMart:
“Whole Grain Sprouted Brown Rice”
In addition to the pleasure of reading that it’s a product of the U.S.A., look at this backside:
Last night was our first night making and tasting this sprouted, brown rice. Brian liked it and compared it to the flavor of oatmeal. I can see where he was coming from with that. It seems really versatile and I’m looking forward to both using this more and introducing it to Bennett.
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that I get to admire the pretty bag.
What sort of hidden wonders have you stumbled upon at the grocery store?

Not going to lie, I would’ve walked right by that bag, after admiring it, not knowing what was in it due to the foreign lettering. Who knew? Maybe I should look into more interesting things to work with in the kitchen.
