Thanksgiving Thankful Game… Obviously (Part 23).

Even though my Thankful Game was established during the summer of ’97 in Ireland, it’s perfectly suited for Thanksgiving and is my own little way of celebrating thanks all year round.  But today, let’s take a moment to be extra thankful.  Please join me in your responses!

I’m thankful for ear muffs.

And I’m thankful for my ability to hear.

I’m thankful for the smell of coffee (even though I couldn’t stand it during my first trimester).

And I’m thankful for spare batteries.

I’m thankful for ovens.

And I’m thankful for recipes.

I’m thankful for the written language, our alphabet and our ability to communicate through its use.

And I’m thankful for books.

I’m thankful that I can take pictures like this while on my laptop:

And I’m thankful for the top half of a muffin.

I’m thankful for nonstick cooking spray.

And I’m thankful for freezers.

I’m thankful for chapstick.

And I’m thankful for blenders.

I’m thankful for when a tree’s leaves have changed and it looks like a bright red tree.

And I’m thankful for evergreens.

I’m thankful for blankets.

And I’m thankful for adorable socks.

I’m thankful for baby wipes.

And I’m thankful that my mother-in-law loaded us up with diapers during our family baby shower.

I’m thankful for room temperature fruit.

And I’m thankful that I’ve been recovering well from Bennett’s delivery.

I’m thankful for quiet time.

And I’m thankful for congregational singing.

I’m thankful for thrift stores.

And I’m thankful that I have siblings.

I’m thankful for stringed instruments.

And I’m thankful for the times when Brian and I get to have each other’s undivided attention on a road trip.

I’m thankful that I don’t get as many hair splinters in my feet now that I’m on maternity leave.  (But, strangely enough, I still get some.)

And I’m thankful that my legs are recognizable again.  The unsightly, bulging pregnancy veins have taken a hike!  Wahoo!

I’m thankful for the raspberries that Bennett blows along with his grunting, his squeaking and his many, many facial expressions.

And I’m thankful for all the times that Brian takes a turn changing the diapers.
