The best medicine.

Ol’ Square Piece has been in a funk lately.  What’s the best medicine for a funk?

Thankfulness.

It’s not just for Thanksgiving.

So let’s get to it, shall we?

I’m thankful for a stove top that works.

And I’m also thankful for my gadgets.

I’m thankful for The Big Bang Theory reruns.

And I’m thankful for clean sheets.

I’m thankful for well-worn denim.

And I’m thankful that I fit my old clothes.

I’m thankful for bedhead that works.

And I’m thankful for salt.

I’m thankful for smart phones.

And I’m thankful for beautiful stationary.

I’m thankful for fresh produce.

And I’m thankful for shimmer.

I’m thankful for water.

And I’m thankful for my last week in my twenties.

I’m thankful for the ability to sing.

And I’m thankful for my good eyesight.

I’m thankful for hot tea.

And I’m thankful for four seasons.

I’m thankful for my family.

And I’m thankful for our closeness.

I’m thankful for my husband.

And I’m thankful for his patience.

And I’m thankful for my Bennett.

And the gift that he is.

How about you?

    I am thankful for you.
For your ability to cut hair thoughtfully and with love. And I am thankful for your sweet, silly, adorable son who loves to flirt. I love how he makes my daughter joyful when he is around 🙂
And I am thankful for my espresso machine that is saving me money.

I am thankful to awake each morning and realize I’m still here. Everything else is frosting on the cake!

I am thankful that I can wake up to Square Piece. I really needed to be reminded this morning of all I have to be thankful for.

I am thankful for a gentle rain that gives me an excuse to stay inside. I am thankful that my children still listen to me (at least some of the time).

I had kind of a crappy week last wek and every time I was getting into a funk, I had to tell myself to remember to be thankful. Quick! Name something you’re grateful for. It definitely keeps my focus upward. Right where it should be. I’m thankful for the thankful game.
