The Little Prince Pops Up.

Though Anthropologie is probably my favorite store in the whole, wide world, I’ve avoided it since being pregnant.

But after today, I’m not sure what I was thinking.

Well, that’s not true; I do know what I was thinking.  I was thinking, Don’t go.  You’ll just be depressed that nothing fits.  You need to save your money for the baby.

And, yes, I do indeed need to save my money for the times that are a’comin’.

But if you’ve ever been to Anthropologie, there’s more than just clothes, ya know.  There’s goodies galore.  You’ve got kitchen goodies, library goodies, bathroom goodies, etc.

But today I found a Bennett goodie.

Sorta.

I mean, right now it’s definitely a Square Piece goodie, but I hope that he loves it when he’s old enough to appreciate it.

In my most favorite store ever, I discovered my most favorite book ever… in the form of a pop-up!

WHAT?!

See?!

Yep, me and my BFF, Katie, just stumbled upon The Little Prince in all of his child-friendly glory.  It’s absolutely precious.

As we were checking out, I confided in Katie, “You see, the problem with this book is that I already like it too much.  I have a hard time owning things that I’m so attached to.”

Katie then asked how I’d feel if my little Bennett liked it just as much as I did, but messed it up some.

*blank stare*

I’ll get there.  Give me time.

By the way, that candle was also a treat.  It smells like the honeysuckle that used to grow at Ma’s house.

Morale of the story?  Pregnant people can still enjoy Anthropologie.

Best store EVER. And how I LOVE the smell of honeysuckle—ahhhh……..

  4. Okay, I have to be totally honest and tell you that we have several pop-up books (that I love), and I keep them on a high shelf, away from little hands to just grab . . . so I have not been able to let go enough to allow free access. But maybe, since you are recognizing this about yourself so early, you will be able to break free!! : )

Yes yes this is true! I love that store! But when I see that the clothes are on sale and I can’t fit them it makes me sad…. But there are plenty of other options! Love the cute set up of the candle and the book. It makes me feel cozy and I’m sure will make Bennett feel cozy too!

Did I ever tell you about the time I went into Anthro when I was pregnant with Carter and dropped an ENTIRE stack of votives? They were gracious, but it was the loudest crash (and most embarassing shopping venture) I had ever remembered….ahhh pregnancy hormones…I swear I just got clumsier until the day Carter was born. But yes, I got the courage to go back in there and, in fact, many of my favorite “maternity” shirts are from Anthro just purchased a size up. Preggo ladies need to feel beautiful too!! 😉
