The Maverick.

Dear La-Z-Boy,

Thank you for inventing the Maverick Reclina-Glider Swivel Recliner (in pewter).

My husband and I are 17 weeks pregnant and do not have the most gigantic house.  Friends have given wonderful counsel and assured me that I’ll be doing a lot of sleeping in the nursery once the baby comes.  While we don’t have room for both a crib and a bed in that room, we do have room for a really, really comfortable chair.

Your Maverick far surpasses any regular glider I have ever sat in.  My entire body feels completely enveloped in its cushiness.  It’s truly incredible how, once reclined, I feel like I’m curling up in a bed!

Once our baby’s room is a big kid’s room, we’ll gladly be moving our new piece of furniture to the living room and hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Thanks for the 25% off sale you had this weekend.  Even discounted, we normally wouldn’t splurge for such an extravagant purchase.  But my husband and I agreed that this is a good “pregnancy gift” for me!

Holy XOXO’s,

Suzy**

ATTENTION READERS: Today is the last day to qualify for a password to tomorrow’s exclusive, “I love my faithful readers” post!  For those of you who keep up regularly and cheer me on here and there, I want to treat you to a post that I’ve had up my sleeve for a while.

Rules: If you haven’t already since Friday, make a comment on today’s post in which you’re predicting our baby’s gender (I need to see boy, girl, him, her, he or she).  The comment needs to be here on Square Piece, not on Facebook.  I’ll be emailing out the password shortly.

For the record, I’ve gotten some questions and suppositions that, because of this silly game, I already know the gender of the little one in my belly.

Ha!  I WISH!

Nope.  Still not a clue.  Our twenty week ultrasound isn’t for another three weeks.  I’m on pins and needles!

I’m a few days late in my guess, but I’m going to say girl. The only reason I’m guessing a girl is because everyone else I know is having a boy so it seems like eventually one of my friends will have a daughter. Perhaps that friend is you? 🙂
