Having had my feathers ruffled at Bennett’s four month check up, I’ve had two months now to prepare a speech plot my defense rehearse my reaction to the pediatrician feeling the need to reference the percentile chart.
Yep, my guard was up, defenses were armed and ready.
…Ready for nothing – obviously – bcause that’s always what happens when I let myself get stirred up.
The six month check up went swimmingly. Yay!
Height: 27″ (50-75%)
Weight: 16.1 lbs. (25%)
Head size 17.5″ (75-90%)
So clearly these numbers mean that he’s tall, lean and brilliant.
Benny-boo took one little vaccine like a champ, flirting with the nurse both before and after the shot.
We did have to wait an awfully long time in our little room before the pediatrician came in, so I let Bennett go to town on the crinkly paper. And go to town he did.
After feeling awfully pumped that the visit went well, I bought a ton of fruits and vegetables and spent Bennett’s nap time making some yummy baby food.
Then when Brian came home, we enjoyed a walk as a family (including Esther!) and I rambled on and on about my progress in the kitchen, fishing for praise and compliments. Brazenly, boldly fishing.
Have a marvelous weekend!
Suzy! I love the combinations and that you can give him food made with love. 🙂
Brilliant, indeed. 🙂
Making his food is such a good idea. Made with love and so healthy for him,
Does Donna see her likeness in the 2nd photo here?
Golly, he’s a handsome little guy!
Where can the food sacs be purchased?
Thank you.
Babies R Us!
Some menu for this ‘on the charts’ boy. We all knew by looking, he is growing, healthy and a member of the intelligentsia. The doctor’s measurements finally caught up to him. About time!
Thinking about Momma and Charley and hoping things are progressing positively. Just read and responded to yesterday’s post. Sorry I was late!
Tall, lean and brilliant! You know, before I even finished reading this, I looked at the picture of all the homemade food and it makes me SOOOO happy that you are doing this. He is going to be so healthy and not have nearly the health issues that most people have. Bravo, Sue! I really like what you’re doing in the kitchen for Squish. 🙂
I sure hope you’re right.
