The Parakeet That Never Needs Feeding!

You find the strangest ads when clipping coupons.

Check out my new, favorite fake pet:

Do you see the word choices?

“Never needs feeding!”

“Sits on its perch… or your finger!”

“Head & Tail Feathers Move Realistically!”

(Is it just me, or has the use of the exclamation point been abused here?)

Here’s my favorite line in the smaller print:

“Life-size bird features details so realistic, only you will know it’s not real!”

Only.  You?  Will.  Know?

Riiiiiiiiight…  Because everybody else thinks that gaping screw holes in a parakeet’s chest are normal.

I’m not sure which is more unsettling: the thought that someone would really hope that his friends would think that his fake bird is real or the thought that those friends wouldn’t actually be able to tell the difference.

*shudders*

I love how you pick up these things and share them with the sort of humor I also use. You put a smile on my face. Since my health makes me too lazy for a live pet anymore, this might just fill the “need” for a realistic bird held together with screws. 🙂

Don’t forget the voice box with enclosed batteries, also very visible! I’m LOL. Maybe it sounds real if you’re on the phone with a friend, however. Let’s give
    “truth in advertising” a break!

Hope your first ‘real’ day home has been wonderful. Try the news section tomorrow. Or, maybe NOT!

You’re not going to believe this but I am currently sitting next to my coupons, I log onto square piece and all of a sudden I’m seeing double! LOL. I totally have the same paper in front of me right now!
