The Thankful Game, Part 17.

In honor of my 297th post, I’d like to take a minute to be thankful.

I’m thankful for Tums and the relief it provides.

And I’m thankful my friend, Bree, who offered the Tums.

I’m thankful for my friend, Adele, who’s moving to Nebraska on Friday.

And I’m thankful that when I was just a hair apprentice, she let me learn, practice and experiment on her hair.  Made all the difference.

I’m thankful for naps (and the best dreams that happen in such a short time).

And I’m thankful for the naps that happen with a hound snuggled up against you.

I’m thankful for gigantic flower rings and they way they make me feel like I’m celebrating spring.

And I’m thankful for clean socks.

I’m thankful for the way Brian brings me water (…all the time).

And I’m thankful for good eyesight.

I’m thankful for figs.  Apparently my baby is the size of a fig right now.

And I’m thankful for cheese, which pairs nicely with figs.

I’m thankful for the documentary Babies.  Today it was pretty comforting to watch the way that babies can develop just fine growing up in many different environments, from wallowing in dirt and flies in The Middle of Nowhere, Africa to chillin’ with the goats in Mongolia.

I’m thankful for good, sharp knives.

And I’m thankful for the ability to breath both through the nose and the mouth.  How convenient!

I’m thankful for Edible Arrangements (especially when they dip things in chocolate… things like oranges and pineapples and strawberries…).

And I’m thankful for a special someone who took it upon herself to mail me the soundtrack to Sister Act 2!  (I highly suggest surprising people with random acts of kindness.)  (Thank you so much, Lynnea!)

I’m thankful for the peace that people (and animals) have on their faces when they’re asleep.  Rest really is such a blessing.

And I’m thankful for Brian’s comment on yesterday’s post.

For what are you thankful?

I’m just plain thankful most the time. I find myself thanking God for sooooo many things. Family, friends, Abigail, wine, employment, creation, and the list goes on!

I am thankful that a kind woman stepped up at the last minute to cover a volunteer shift for me tonight so that I could be home with my husband. I remind myself that you never know someone elses journey and kindness goes a long way!
