Oh my!
Having worked earlier today and having attended Skyla‘s baby shower immediately afterwards, I laid down on the couch at 6:00PM with my alarm set to wake me from my nap at 6:45PM.
Well… It’s 10:20PM and I got woke up. So I guess I needed more than a nap, huh?
This week, I’ve been mulling over some points of gratitude and would love to hear what sort of things you’ve been thankful for, too!
I’m thankful that Brian spent the day working around the house. Being that I haven’t been home and alert, I’m not exactly sure what all got accomplished; but it looks like it’s all been the kind of progress that makes sense for two people who will be having a baby soon. (There’s a To-Do list on the fridge that I believe has dwindled considerably.)
And I’m thankful for canned mandarin oranges.
I’m thankful for bra extenders.
And I’m thankful for people who share their food. (While I love being on the receiving end, I’ve never been a good food sharer myself. It’s like that episode of Friends… I can hear Joey Tribiani, “JOEY DOES NOT SHARE FOOD!” Okay, well maybe not that bad.)
I’m thankful for games.
And I’m thankful for the way that a certain, young, bashful teenager absolutely lit up when I made any positive comments whatsoever about my observations of her while at work this week. After beaming a huge smile, she would then scurry back to her mom proclaiming, “Mom! Suzanna just said that I … !” It. Was. Precious.
I’m thankful that farts don’t toot in color.
And I’m thankful for the times when my basset hound, Esther, is snuggled up next to me. She’ll start licking and bathing herself and inevitably her bathing will go from her toes to my toes.
What about you?
Thankful for two extra sets of hands to help out in the garden today. And for ice packs which seem to be doing an effective job of numbing the pain in my shoulder. And for a much anticipated dinner with family tomorrow.
I am thankful for a whole day lounging!
obviously his were not an extra set of hands today 😉
I’m thankful that my parents sold me a respectable car at a great price and when a part broke down on it 2 weeks later, they paid to have it fixed and said it was under their warranty.
i’m thankful that i have a job that involves music.
i’m thankful that people bought some of my crap at my garage sale making room for my baby.
speaking of my baby, i am thankful for my baby boy. and i’m thankful that i don’t have to worry about being jealous of a baby girl being told how beautiful she is by my husband.
i’m thankful that my husband was patient enough to go birthday shopping with me while i looked at panties and sunglasses.
i’m thankful for kettle corn and the new margarita flavored crystal light.
Tooties! wow…. yeah.
