I’m thankful for fly swatters.
And I’m thankful for the times when Esther is at peace, not being tormented by the buzz of the one, lone fly.
I’m thankful for orange juice.
And I’m thankful for stillness.
I’m thankful for the abundance of information at my fingertips on the internet.
And I’m thankful for the way Brian brings me my pills with a glass of water at night.
I’m thankful that I haven’t had any leg cramps for a couple of weeks.
And I’m thankful for fresh flowers on the kitchen table.
I’m thankful that fall is right around the corner.
And I’m thankful for options.
I’m thankful that English was my first language.
And I’m thankful that six months ago when I didn’t know that I was pregnant and the dentist asked if there was “any chance” that I “could be” pregnant, I said, “Yeah,” and they didn’t X-ray me.
I’m thankful for the movement that I feel in my belly.
And I’m thankful that throughout this entire pregnancy I haven’t had to miss one day of work for feeling too unwell.
I’m thankful for Psalm 123.
And I’m thankful for washing machines.
I’m thankful for hand-me-downs.
And I’m thankful for guacamole.
I’m thankful for ice cubes that are shaped like anything but a cube.
And I’m thankful for all the private messages people send me after reading my blogs when they feel the need to comment discreetly.
For what are you thankful?

I’m thankful for the strength God gives me to get through a busy day.
I’m thankful that Donovan will get his braces OFF today, and that will be one less appointment to dash off to each month. 🙂

I’m thankful that prayer has helped take the edge off my temper.
I’m thankful that I didn’t have any of the myriad of problems that friends are having with their pregnancies.
I’m thankful that Darian still like hugs and kisses from his mommy.
I’m thankful for a safe place to live, a healthy family, healing, motivation to cook more, supportive shoes, cooler weather coming, a great walk with my kids today and quiet times with each of my kids one-on-one.
I’m thankful for the thankful game! Mandy and I have played it on the way home from work every night for the past two weeks, and it makes a huge difference in how we think about the day!
I am thankful for fresh air, blue skies, the sound of my children laughing, holding hands, kisses on the cheek, my friends, my family, prayer, and SO MUCH MORE!
I am thankful I have your uncle as my gift from God,which in turn blessed me with a wonderful extended family. I am thankful I was handpicked by my momma. I am thankful for 3 days off in a row with people I love in a place I can must fit and enjoy the wonder if his creation. And I am most thankful that He loves me and choose me to be His child.
I am thankful for my daughters and granddaughter who are both wonderful and intelligent. I am thankful I have a job to stimulate my brain everyday. I am thankful for a roof over my head. I am thankful for music of almost any genre. I am thankful for the chocolate chip cookies (I only ate one!) my client baked last night and brought to share with me and my Chief of Staff. I am thankful for animal rehabilitation therapy and how it is helping the lovely Ms. Cleo to heal.
I never realized the Thankful game could continue in my head indefinitely. I’m thankful for having such a huge list to be thankful for.
I’m thankful for good sneakers and my friends that will walk with me while I’m wearing them.
I’m thankful for you! Rachael and I now play the thankful game on the way home from work almost every night. We thank Jesus for his many blessings and definitely thank him for “UNeventful nights” at work. But seriously, you started a great game. Keeps our eyes on the prize Violet! 😉
