In honor of my 59th post, today I’d like to take a moment to be grateful for the abundant blessings in my life. If you’d like to start from the beginning, then you need to start here. (If you’d like to start in the middle, then you need to start here.)
I’m thankful for irons and ironing boards.
And I’m thankful for white strips for my teeth.
I’m thankful for doors made of glass that allow me to see a snow storm, a rain storm or a basset hound that wants back inside.
And I’m thankful for homemade corn bread, and then making homemade croutons with the leftovers. Mmmmmm.
I’m thankful for the sweet company of friends! (Thank you Jerry & Louise, Brian & Jenn, Ma & Pa, Chris and Katie and Chris & Bree for loving on us this summer!)
And I’m thankful for magnets.
I’m thankful for the peace that I feel when I hear the rhythm of my dogs’ breathing as they sleep.
And I’m thankful for options.
I’m thankful for the times that I can sing “How Great Thou Art” at the top of my lungs.
And I’m thankful for a husband who will stop and pray with me when I’m getting bent out of shape.
I’m thankful for all the ways that my clients make me giggle at the salon.
And I’m thankful for batteries.
I’m thankful for gritty scrubs that exfoliate my skin and make it feel so smooth.
And I’m thankful for how much fun it is to listen to someone talk in their sleep.
I’m thankful for the scent of honeysuckle… and the way it feels like home.
And I’m thankful for embarrassing moments.
I’m thankful for the way the body cries both in laughter and in pain.
And I’m thankful that spearment is available as an alternative to peppermint flavored gum.
For what are you thankful?
I am thankful for YOU!
I am thankful for all the reasons to smile that you bring my way. 😉 There’s nothing like some Suzi-isms to lighten my heart and soul.
