Brian, Bennett and I just enjoyed our annual Thieves’ Christmas family get-together yesterday (Brian’s mom’s side). Good times were had by all and we thieves came away with some substantial loot! Especially Bennett!
I might have to trickle this mother-load of toys out slowly throughout the year. It seems that the hardest part here is figuring out what my boy is definitely done playing with to make room for the new toys. Hard to say, really. (Advice welcome.)
As I was driving back home from Winchester, I was reminded of how easy it is for kids on a road trip. Gosh, didn’t you just love being able to fall asleep at the beginning of a drive, wake up an hour or two later, and find that you were already at your destination? So easy! And how about the way you’d fly out of your seat a little when the car popped over some backroad hills? Loved that!
Merry Christmas Eve-Eve-Eve! Ya ready?
Are you giving to a shelter, hospital or someplace worthwhile? As Bennett gets older you can explain where they are going and let him decide what to give to children who do not have toys. Wonderful system my daughter still uses with my 13-year old grand-daughter. They make bags for the Women’s shelter in Leesburg, for one.
Yes, definitely will do that with him. Thanks for the reminder!
Ha ha, did you make any elderly ladies upset at you this time?! Thieves. LOL. Hey, do you remember how I would take my dodge spirit and go down the back roads with Dani and his cousins and we would fly over those hills. LOL. Good times! 🙂
Nah, but that one in particular can be a loose cannon! She seemed happy enough this time. And I love flying out of my seat!
