So Brian finally found out what it’s like to have nap time sabotaged, resulting in a total of five slumbering minutes in an entire day of childcare and parenting.
I think he’s going to sympathize with my scheduling manipulation a touch more now.
Mwa ha ha…
Yesterday I had the fun opportunity of formulating a new color for a client who has never colored her hair before! She’s a young 20-something, but has been getting grays since high school! Naturally, I took a before and after shot of the transformation.
She utterly floated out of the salon on clouds of happiness.
Thursday finally afforded me the opportunity to head over to Winchester and have Dr. Bartlett check on the aftermath of having had both flu and migraines in January. Sure ’nuff, my body’s dealing with some residuals of that and “told on me” so to speak. It was just begging for more balance in the form of whole food supplements. As I drove home, I ripped open a few of my newer packages, popped the prescribed amount and swear that before I got home, my head felt clearer, less hazy.
And Bennett? He’s trucking along, destroying and exploring everything within a toddler’s reach.
He’s up to saying:
- Mommy
- Daddy
- apple
- honey
- cracker
- baby
- happy
- Bible
- cookie
- thank you
- hi
- up
- down
- more
- ball
- water
- help
- that
- no
- egg
And a host of others that are a lot less clear, but fairly distinguishable. That, and he’s regularly signing “please” and “milk.”
Is Bennett’s list in order of date he first spoke the word?
Love the peek into his mind!
Wow! I’m flattered that you believe I could possibly keep track of that. And while, yes, I’m a square piece, no, I didn’t list them in the order in which they were spoken. Officially, Bennett’s first word was, “hey.” Then “mom.” Then words exploded.
How beautiful! Her eyes got bluer, or more blue.
And Bennett’s language explosion is oh so fun!!
hahahaha, @ “words exploded” …. literally!
you can add “door” which he kept pointing to and saying when he heard your voice on the other side of it and wanted the “door” opened! 🙂
lovely color on your client, her eyes definitely popped more blue 🙂
I’m also guessing that list isn’t in order of frequency either or else “no” would be higher on the list. =)
I bet she felt like a million bucks. Looks great, Sue.
Seeing Bennett sign “please” and “milk” is so precious. I love that he is learning some sign. <3 Makes me smile.
🙂
