Thanks to every single one of you who ever uttered a prayer for Charley and our family. He passed at home this morning after having said his “good bye’s” and “I love you’s.”
Heaven’s got a new kid in town. Charley said his first words would be, “Howdy!” But keep your ears open… he did play the trumpet.
So very sorry for you and your familys loss. I will be praying for you all.
Suzanna and family…….my deepest thoughts are with you. I will be listening for the sweet sounds of his trumpet. RIP.
Heaven’s trumpets are playing FOR him. Our prayers are with you. So glad you got to spend time with him and Momma.
Thinking of you and your family with deepest sympathy.
I’m praying for your family today. May you be filled with peace and comfort as you remember Charley’s life.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. I’m so sorry for your loss.
God bless all of you. No more suffering for Charley now. He fought a long, very tough battle and your mom fought right beside him. My heart is very heavy. Thinking of all of you today.
Gilles and Mom and I send our love to you during this time. From all the wonderful stories we’ve been blessed to share with you and your family, I know we would have loved to have known him.
Praying for you and your whole family during this time. Praise that he is suffering no more! May our great God and Savior surround you and bring comfort and peace that surpasses understanding.
My tears are for the family. But grateful that Charley is no longer ill. MM is such a terrible cancer. What a godly heritage Charley established in his home. That is a blessing. And he was such a diligent provider to continue working, when I know he could not have felt up to working.
Heaven is rejoicing in his arrival!!! May the Lord surround you and your family with his tangible presence to give you comfort. Charley s no longer suffering and rejoicing with the Lord with his body whole! One day you all will see him again.
Dear Suzanna,
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all! <3~Miriam
Give him a couple of days and he will be helping Gabriel blow that horn!
Your parents have always been a great inspiration and a wonderful “love story”! I know he’ll be missed, but everyone knows he’s happily greeting all of his friends in heaven!
Sending love and prayers to all of your family!
I only met Charley a couple of times when he and your mom were out here on vacations, but i consider myself blessed for having had to opportunity to hang out with him and Donna. he had such a wonderful sense of humor and was so easy going, it was so much fun to be in his company.
In Vancouver, BC, people handed out free newspapers on the street and Charley always got one. forever after, any time i’ve travelled, i’ve thought of Charley and the newspapers and always tried to get him one. (Donna, remember the paper i sent from India?)
at the zoo, he loved the sea otters and declared that he could sit and watch them all day–i’m hoping that in between giving Gabriel trumpet tips and hanging out with Jesus, Charley will have a big pool of lively sea otters to watch.
Charley has left a wonderful legacy in his children and grandson (such a blessing that he got to have time with Bennett in this life) and while we will all miss him, we can only rejoice that he is Home with Jesus and eternally free from all pain.
I hope that I make him proud down here. I made a promise to him to take care of this family and that is what I intend to do.
