Worcestershire Sauce.

So my friend, Rachael Ray, helped me realize that I’ve been mispronouncing worcestershire sauce for as long as I’ve known what the ingredient is.

Oh… my “friend“?  Yeah, now that I’m at home with Bennett, my circle of friends has enlarged to include Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan, Ellen Degeneres and Rachael Ray.  It’s sad really.  Brian will come home and I’ll be like, “Hey, guess what Ellen said today!”  I’m a little ashamed.

Anyhow.  I digress.

Worcestershire sauce.  Even though I repeated Rachael a few times after she said it, I think I’ve already forgotten the pronunciation.  (Shoot!)  But I know she used three syllables and that I always manage to use four.  Hmmm…

If it didn’t enhance hamburger meat so nicely, I’d be able to sidestep this issue altogether.

So how was your day?

4 syllables, huh? Interesting, I pronounce it with 3. Enjoy Ellen too. Don’t see her daily, but she usually makes me smile and laugh. Gotta laugh!

Pronounced wus-ter-shire. That’s from someone born in Worcestershire!! It’s amazing how children change everything!

Well my tv days start with Jake and the never land pirates while I clean the down stairs. Then mickymouse club house while I fold laundry. So in the morning I guess my circle of friends are pirates and animals. Its not till I’m done cleaning and Caden is napping I get so Giada time in. Then Caden and I play the rest of the day! So if you ever see me singing the theme songs to those two cartoons, now you know!

I agree with Laura! Some of my fondest memories are doing chores around the house and watching the old Disney shows like Bear in the Big Blue House (great music!!) and Rollie Pollie Olie with my kids. What a great season of life! Loving all the pics of you guys! 🙂 Thanks for sharing with us.

Noelle didn’t like cartoons…just Rachel Ray, so I completely understand. I am from Alabama and we pronounce it wis-ta-shear. I am completely fine with MY pronunciation…go ahead and make up your own!
